1:28:34, 8.86 minutes per mile. Longest sub-9-minute-miles to date! (Am I sounding like a broken record?) :) Tried Accel Gel again today, not because I felt like I needed it, but I had some mild lingering stomach issues last week, so I wanted to see if it was because of the Accel Gel. I don't think it was. If anything, my stomach was a little unsettled during the first half of my run but settled down after I took the Accel Gel. Only one more "long run" (8 miles next week) before 26.2! P.S. I'm interested in your thoughts about my "tapering" schedule. I planned my schedule out in early August and combined two plans that I found online. But after doing 20 last week, 10 felt less like tapering nice and easy and more like a big dropoff. Here's my schedule, including the two weeks before taper so you can get a bigger picture: Two weeks ago: 5, cross train, 8, rest, 18 Last week: 5, cross train, rest, 8, rest, 20 This week: 5, cross train, 8, rest, 10 Next week: 3, cross train, 5, rest, 8 Race week: 3, cross train, 3, rest (walk? cross train?), rest, 26.2
